Project JOMO (the joy of missing out) is the emotionally intelligent antidote to FOMO. The concept of JOMO is about being present and living life on your terms. JOMO allows you to be who you are in the present moment, which is the secret to finding happiness. When you free up the competitive and anxious tension in your brain, you have so much more time, energy, and emotion to conquer your true priorities.
I’ve been the type of person who is always working, creating, and traveling because there’s so much to do and so much to see in this vast big world. Often, I become overwhelmed, and my friends remind me that I need the time to slow down. That energy and motivation was the reason I created Project JOMO – as a reminder for those who hustle day in and day out. Those who do whatever makes them happy, to remember to slow down for a second to enjoy the moments, small accomplishments, friendships, family, and all of the little things in life.
When you stop caring about what other people are doing and thinking, you begin to focus on yourself and create the life you’ve always wanted. When you stop letting people tell you what’s right and wrong, you create your world. That’s how I’ve lived my life – and only recently have I started to embrace that. To push myself, my limits, and the boundaries I’ve created. A leap of faith sent me to Florida to explore and see where life takes me. There are no blueprints for life – you create your path. I want to make sure its worth it and share these experiences with others. Life doesn’t stop or slow down for anything; make sure you’re living it to the fullest.
Project JOMO is an experiment to share, learn, teach, and help others in this fast-paced world. Living life in the fast lane is great, but at the end of the day, it’s about the memories and connections you make. The people in your life, the interactions, helping others, and giving back is what matters the most. We are here to collaborate and listen to all of you because this is about all of us. Check out our site full of insights from others, including some tips and tricks. We want to help connect people on best practices to allow you to live a peaceful life on your terms.
